Day 01: Arrival at Airport – Negombo (Approx. 30 mins | 20 km)

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your chauffeur guide who will assist with your luggage and transfer you to Negombo. Once at your hotel, spend the day at leisure, relaxing and enjoying the facilities.Negombo offers wide, picturesque beaches and is known as the heartland of Christian Sri Lanka, evident from its grand churches and charming Catholic shrines scattered throughout town. Historically, the Dutch transformed Negombo into a vital commercial hub by building a canal used for transporting cinnamon and other spices from the interior to the coast for export.

Day 02: Negombo – Sinharaja Rainforest (Approx. 5.5 hrs drive)

Start your day with a wetland bird-watching tour at Muthurajawela Sanctuary, home to over 200 species of fauna and nearly 200 species of flora, including endemic and migratory birds.Continue your journey to Sinharaja Rainforest, checking into The Rainforest Ecolodge where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Day 03: Sinharaja Rainforest

Spend the day trekking through the UNESCO-listed Sinharaja Rainforest, a tropical wet evergreen forest rich in endemic species and stunning biodiversity. Early morning and evening trekking offers excellent opportunities for birdwatching and experiencing the forest’s unique ecosystem firsthand. Enjoy meals at your ecolodge.

Day 04: Sinharaja Rainforest – Udawalawe (Approx. 3.5 hrs drive)

Travel to Udawalawe, arriving in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon safari at Udawalawe National Park.Evening entertainment includes drinks around the campfire and a BBQ dinner under the stars at your campsite.Note: This is an adventure-style camping experience with basic amenities. Guests are encouraged to bring trekking shoes and comfortable clothing, avoid plastic waste, participate in tree planting, and help collect litter during trekking to support conservation efforts.

Day 05: Udawalawe – Yala (Approx. 3 hrs drive)

Proceed to Yala and check into Leopard Nest.Enjoy an afternoon safari in Yala National Park, renowned for having the world’s highest density of leopards alongside elephants, sloth bears, wild water buffalo, and diverse endemic flora and fauna.Overnight stay at Leopard Nest on a Half Board basis.

Day 06: Yala – Gal Oya (Approx. 7.5 hrs drive)

Begin your morning with a safari at Bundala National Park, a vital wintering ground for migratory water birds, including large flocks of greater flamingos.Continue to Gal Oya for relaxation and overnight stay at Gal Oya Lodge.

Day 07: Gal Oya – Kandy (Approx. 3.5 hrs drive)

Experience a unique boat safari in Gal Oya Lake, with chances to see elephants swimming and wildlife along the water’s edge.Travel onwards to Kandy where you will enjoy lunch and a city tour including the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic.Overnight at Simpson’s Forest Hotel on a Full Board basis.

Day 08: Kandy – Airport (Approx. 3.5 hrs drive)
