Day 01 - Negombo


Arrival and Greeting Details for Bandaranaike International Airport.


Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, a representative will greet and meet you. You will then be whisked away to your luxurious hotel in Negombo, where you can unwind and rest in complete comfort.

Bask in the warm tropical sun and let the gentle crash of the waves over the golden beach lull you into a state of relaxation. Negombo is a charming city that boasts stunning churches and picturesque landscapes.

Day 02 - Negombo / Mihintale / Anuradhapura


Start your day with a satisfying breakfast before embarking on a journey to the solitary mountain of Mihintale, situated near Anuradhapura. It is a significant pilgrimage destination, as legend has it that the meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa, resulting in the introduction of Buddhism to the island, occurred on this sacred mountain. This has made it a revered site for countless years.


Discover Impressive Archaeological Remains at Sigiriya.

Explore the ancient wonders of Sigiriya, including the first ever inscription of Sri Lanka, which remains clearly visible. To reach the summit of the rock, you'll need to climb a rugged staircase with approximately 800 steps. The ascent should take around two to three hours.

If you find the descent too challenging after your strenuous climb, just let us know and we'll arrange for a vehicle to meet you at the mid-level for your convenience.


You will be taken to check in to your hotel in Anuradhapura to enjoy a delicious dinner.

Explore the Ancient City of Anuradhapura on Foot.


Kick off your day with a scrumptious breakfast and get ready to embark on an exciting journey exploring the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Enter the site from the town through a simple road that runs parallel to paddy fields and shimmering man-made reservoirs. The level road is covered with trees, making for a delightful stroll. After arriving at the destination, take in the exquisite antique temples, statues, carvings, and murals that have been meticulously preserved. Walk approximately four kilometres in and around the city, discovering its rich culture and tradition.


Here's what to Expect on Your Tour:

During the day, temperatures in the region will range from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius. After the explorative tour, we'll take you to the stunning reservoir banks to relax and unwind. Here, you can indulge in the tropical flavor of locally grown fruits and admire the beautiful birdlife in the area while taking a well-deserved break.

Join us for a delightful lunch at a nearby restaurant before our three-kilometre walk begins. As we pass through charming little villages, you'll get to experience the unique allure of the local communities.


Return to the hotel for a hearty dinner.

Day 04 - Anuradhapura | Ritigala Nature Reserve | Minneriya National Park


Experience Sri Lanka's Biodiversity Hotspot:

Ritigala Nature Reserve Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an adventure to the Ritigala Nature Reserve, located in one of Sri Lanka's biodiversity hotspots. The mountain, standing at 766 metres above sea level, is one of the highest in the country.

As you ascend, you'll experience three different climatic conditions, making the climb quite unique. The lower part of the mountain has a dry zone climate, the middle range represents an intermediate zone climate, and the zenith is often wet.

Discovering the Pathways to the Top: A Journey Rooted in Ancient Times Legend has it that the stairway to the top was constructed during ancient times. With almost 400 steps, the climb is not too challenging as the steps aren't steep. The journey takes about two to three hours and is surrounded by a lush canopy of trees, accompanied by sweet bird songs.

Once you complete the trek, you will head to Habarana where a delicious, Sri Lankan lunch will be served. You can then check-in to your hotel for rest and relaxation.


Experience a Memorable Safari at Minneriya National Park In the afternoon, embark on an unforgettable safari at the renowned Minneriya National Park, where you'll encounter large herds of Sri Lankan elephants. If you're visiting during the dry season, you may have the chance to witness "The Gathering," which brings hundreds of elephants to the reservoir banks.


Spend your afternoon in the park, basking in the warm sun, and return to your hotel after sunset. A special set menu dinner will be served outside the restaurant for you to enjoy.

Day 05 - Sigiriya | Dambulla


Discover the Beauty of Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO Heritage Site.

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to one of the most iconic landmarks in the country – the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The majestic rock stands tall at 200 metres, towering over the rugged jungle terrain. It is believed that the rock once served as the stronghold of an ancient town that spanned 70 hectares.

The site also features moats, gardens, and ramparts, making it a truly unique destination. Take in the ethereal beauty of rock frescoes, famously known as the Sigiriya damsels, and marvel at the grandeur of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Tips for Climbing a Rock To avoid the scorching sun, it's best to begin your climb in the morning. The summit is roughly 1,200 steps away, and the climb can take up to two hours to complete.


After completing the Sigiriya tour, head to a local restaurant for a fascinating cooking demonstration and a chance to enjoy a delicious Sri Lankan meal served in a kamatha - the area where the harvest is collected after the paddy is harvested.

The Popham Arboretum, which is known by locals as ‘Suddage Watta’ is the next attraction on your itinerary for the day. This is a beautiful forest that has grown from trees planted many years ago by a single man.


Walk across its sandy terrains and enjoy a peaceful experience amidst the tranquillity of nature.


Upon completion, you will return the hotel to rest and relaxation followed by dinner.

Day 06 - Matale | Kandy


A Scenic Route to Kandy: Breakfast at the Hotel, Spice Garden Tour in Matale, and an Authentic Sri Lankan.


Lunch Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before leaving for the picturesque city of Kandy. On your way, stop by Matale for a tour of the spice garden. A local guide will accompany you around the grounds and highlight a diverse range of medicinal plants. You'll also witness the production of several ayurvedic products for export. Don't forget to indulge in an authentic Sri Lankan lunch before resuming your journey.


Explore Kandy's Highlights: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Kandy Lake.

After arriving in Kandy, take some time to check in at your hotel and relax. Later, make your way on foot to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, where the revered relic of Lord Buddha's tooth is enshrined. Although the walk will be mainly on the pavement alongside the main road, we can provide a vehicle if you prefer not to brave the traffic.


Don't miss the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll around the picturesque Kandy Lake, a three-kilometer path offering stunning views of the city. Stop by the local food corner, managed by the Agricultural Department of Sri Lanka, to sample a diverse range of traditional delicacies.


Additionally, learn how these local dishes are prepared through interactive show cooking sessions. After the walk, you can return to where you will be staying.


In the late afternoon, visit the Kandyan Art Centre where you will be enthralled by beautiful cultural dance performances.


Return to the hotel and relax after your day’s adventures.

Day 07 - Kandy | Kothmale | Nuwara Eliya


Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading out to Kothmale, a charming village located in the Central Province. Known for its preservation of old customs and traditions, Kothmale also boasts breathtaking natural scenery.

Don't miss the opportunity to explore the Kothmale Reservoir and Dam, which are fascinating attractions in the area. The village is nestled amidst awe-inspiring mountain ranges, making the exploration of this quaint town all the more rewarding.


Exploring the Beauty of the Region:

A Journey to Kothmale Chaitya Experience the stunning views of the region from the overlook above the dam and enjoy a quick snack before embarking on a journey to the Kothmale Chaitya, a recently constructed pilgrimage site.

The uphill road leading to the temple is approximately two kilometers long and quite winding. Be aware that the descent may be challenging due to the steep steps along the way.


An Enjoyable Experience Awaits You.

Get ready to witness the unadulterated beauty of nature and the simple ways of life of the locals. The region boasts numerous vegetable gardens and paddy fields, adding to its allure. In addition, toddy tapping is a popular activity among the villagers.


You can enjoy a picnic lunch on the way before you begin your journey to Nuwara Eliya.

Day 08 - Nuwara Eliya | Horton Plains

Experience the Beauty of Horton Plains National Park Start your day early with your breakfast packed and head out to the breathtaking Horton Plains National Park, filled with wildlife, waterfalls, and cloud forests. This destination is considered one of the most beautiful locations in Sri Lanka, and it's not hard to see why.


Welcome to the Natural Habitat of a Variety of Species.

The Udawalawe National Park is home to numerous species, some of which are endemic to the region. The toque macaque, sambar deer, purple-faced langur, slender loris, fishing cat, and rusty-spotted cat are among the many animals that inhabit the area. Additionally, leopards, barking deer, wild boar, long-tailed giant squirrel, bear monkey, stripe-necked mongoose, and horned lizard have been frequently spotted. The park's charm extends to its strikingly beautiful butterflies too.


Although there are occasional slopes in the park, the walk may be challenging in some areas. However, the pleasant climate of the region and the breathtaking views will make the experience truly enchanting!


Upon completion of the tour, you will return to the starting point and proceed to your hotel.

Day 09 - Yala National Park

Alongside these elusive predators, you will also catch sight of elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, jackals, and a diverse array of birds on your exciting safari tour.


The journey through this rugged wilderness, thriving under the tropical sun, is sure to be an exhilarating experience!


Upon completion of the tour, return to the campsite.

Day 10 - Yala National Park


Experience the Magic of Yala National Park at Sunrise.


Wake up early and head to Yala National Park, just as the sun begins to rise and the jungle awakens. You'll have the chance to spot the nocturnal creatures as they make their way back to their hiding spots.


Take a two-hour safari ride through the park and end with a delicious breakfast at the campsite.


Take a Break and Explore the Scenic Yoda Wewa If you're looking for a relaxing activity, consider a serene kayak or catamaran ride on Yoda Wewa (lake). Following that, you'll be treated to lunch at a charming village house.


Then, embark on a village trek that takes you through local settlements along the tank's rippling waters. This will give you a glimpse into the locals' simple lives, which is sure to be an enlightening experience. The path is quite easy to follow too, as it is sandy and level.


Return to the campsite when the sun sets to rest and relax.

Day 11 - Hikkaduwa | Ahangama | Galle


Prepare to leave the campsite after breakfast and drive to the glamorous coastal resort town of Hikkaduwa.


Experience Stunning Ocean Views on Your Journey.


During your travels, you'll witness breathtaking ocean vistas. Take a break at the charming town of Ahangama, where you'll encounter traditional stilt fishermen patiently waiting atop stilts embedded in the shallow seabed for the daily ocean yield.


Explore the Stunning Galle Fort at Dusk

As night falls, let a knowledgeable local guide take you on a leisurely walking tour of the magnificent Galle Fort. After your tour, enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the popular restaurants located inside the fort.


After dinner, it’s time for a blissful night’s sleep at your hotel. Overnight stay in Hikkaduwa.


Day 12 - Galle | Colombo


Experience the Best of Colombo

After a Delicious Breakfast at the Hotel After indulging in a scrumptious breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself to be whisked away to the commercial capital, Colombo. This vibrant city boasts a plethora of amazing attractions that will leave you spellbound. Take pleasure in the walking tours that have been organized for you and explore the beauty of colonial buildings such as the Old Parliament.

Be awed by the grandeur of the Gangaramaya Temple and Sri Kailawasanathan Swami Devasthanam Kovil, two of the city’s most famous places of worship.


Don't forget to visit the National Museum, Independence Memorial Hall, and the Prime Minister’s Office - three of the city's prominent landmarks.


Savour a delectable dinner which will be served at a local restaurant, before heading to your hotel, for a restful night of sleep.

Day 13 - Colombo

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for your journey back home. We'll transport you to the Bandaranaike International Airport when it's time for your flight and bid you farewell until we meet again!
