Join us as we visit a rural school, take a short ride on a public bus, and enjoy some thrilling nature activities. Get ready to immerse yourself in the local community and explore a different side of Sri Lanka. 

Day 01 -  Colombo - Digana 

You will be picked up from Colombo, Negombo and Mount Lavinia or Airport and driven to Digana in Kandy (approx. 4 hours drive)  

Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 02 - Digana 

Explore the Village and Swim in the Waterfall: A Perfect Trek for Families. 

Begin your day with a satisfying breakfast before embarking on a village walk and waterfall swim, which is a highly sought-after experience, particularly for children. The walk starts at our Lodge and passes through charming villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens. Here, you'll witness the locals going about their daily tasks at a leisurely pace. During your visit, you'll be warmly welcomed into their homes and shown how they make various products, such as treacle and jaggery.  

Along the way, our Guide will provide a "Botany lesson" on the different trees you'll encounter, such as cloves, pepper, nutmeg, coffee, cocoa, jack, breadfruit, arecanut, mangosteen, mango, passion-fruit, rambuttan, banana, and papaya. Additionally, you'll see picturesque rice-fields and, if time allows, get a glimpse of our nearby reforestation project – a testament to living in harmony with nature.

End your day with a stunning view of the lake surrounded by majestic mountains. 

Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy. 

Day 03 - Digana 

Get ready for an unforgettable day with your local guide after breakfast. You will immerse yourself in village life and experience it all within just a few hours. Take the same 2km path that most village children take to their school and distribute pens, exercise books, and more to the students. Engage in a brief lesson with the children and their teacher, then spend time interacting with them. Next, you'll hop on a local bus for a 20-minute ride to the jungle-path that leads to the hidden waterfall. You'll feel like Tarzan and Jane as you make your way through the jungle! If you're up for it, take a dip in the natural pool (water temp. approx. 20 C). 

If you'd like to have lunch at the waterfall, let your guide know before leaving the Lodge. Return to the Polwaththa Eco Lodge by tuk-tuk or safari jeep. 

Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy. 

Day 04 - Digana - Anamaduwa 

 An Adventurous Stay at the Mudhouse in Anamaduwa.  

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before heading to Anamaduwa, where you'll be driven to the Mudhouse. Upon arrival, check-in and enjoy complimentary locally-guided excursions and activities for the duration of your stay. With a variety of options available including picnic trips, temple visits, bird watching walks, nature trails, lake kayaking, local historical sights and cooking lessons, there's something for everyone. Please note that activities may be subject to change depending on the season or other local factors.  

Dinner and overnight stay in Anamaduwa.  

Day 05 - Anamaduwa 

Exciting Activities Await You After Breakfast at the Mudhouse. 

Once you've had your breakfast, you can choose from a variety of activities to enjoy. Each one promises to deliver a unique and satisfying experience. After a day filled with adventure, spend the day at leisure.

Dinner and overnight stay in Anamaduwa.  

Day 06 - Anamaduwa - Colombo 

After breakfast, you will be driven to airport for your flight back home or dropped off in Colombo, Mount Lavinia and Negombo.

• Transport is based on 01 Air-conditioned Luxury private vehicle

• Service of an English-speaking Chauffeur Guide during sightseeing tour

• Entrance and service fees mentioned on the itinerary

• 4 star hotel accomodation and can be upgraded if required at an extra cost

• All current taxes as on date

• Parking and highway tickets

• Sri Lanka Visa

• Cost of Lunch & Dinner during the tour (if not mentioned in the itinerary)

• Any International Airfare / Airport taxes

• Any change in tax structure resulting from the hike in published tariff.

• Items of personal nature like tips, laundry, phone calls etc.

• Any video / still camera fee to the monuments and places of visit

• Any other item not explicitly mentioned under price includes.

• Bar, telephone and laundry bills

• Tips to guides, restaurants, and hotel lobby. Tipping is expected.

• Any others expenses

Other Conditions :

Optional excursions and additional services could be provided for which we will charge additionally. Visits to wildlife parks will be at client's own risk.

Safari vehicles (none air-conditioned) available are very basic with basic insurance cover (not comprehensive as in the case of vehicles used for tours).
