In Sri Lanka, the nine-arch bridge is a must-see attraction. You can take a tuk-tuk to get there, and it's located between Ella and Demodara railway stations. This impressive bridge stands 99 feet tall and is made entirely of rock, brick, and cement – not a single piece of steel was used in its construction. If you stand beneath it and look up, you'll be greeted by a stunning view of "nine skies" through the nine arches, which is why it's also known as "Nine Skies Bridge" and "The Bridge in the Sky."

Guards are present to ensure your safety as you stroll along the rails and admire the breathtaking surroundings. Catching a glimpse of a train traveling over the bridge is a rare treat, so keep your eyes peeled.

Experience the Stunning Beauty of the Route's Two Most Popular Stops

When traveling through this route, two points stand out as the most popular.
