Whale & Dolphin Watching

Whale watching has become one of the most popular activities in Mirissa due to its ideal location for spotting some of the world's largest mammals.

There are several species of whales that can be seen in Mirissa including the Blue Whale, Sperm Whale, Fin Whale, and even the occasional Orca. The best time to go whale watching in Mirissa is from November to April, as this is when the waters are calm, and the visibility is best.

ITINERARY

6:00 - Pick up from any centrally located hotels in Mirissa, Weligama, Koggala, Unawatuna and Galle hotels.

7:00 - You will begin an unforgettable half-day whale-watching excursion in the Indian Ocean's deep waters. Dolphins and turtles can also be observed in this area in addition to whales. 

11:00 - Arrive back at the harbour and proceed back to your hotel.
