Polonnaruwa is an ancient city located in Sri Lanka and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the best planned archaeological relic sites in the country. The city is known for its well-preserved ruins and ancient Buddhist temples, which provide a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka.
ITINERARY
7:30 - Pick up from your hotel and head to Polonnaruwa by an Air-conditioned vehicle from any hotels located in Dambulla, Sigiriya, Habarana and Anuradhapura.
9:00 - Arrive and do a sightseeing tour of one of the better kept ruins of ancient Ceylon - the UNESCO World Heritage City of Polonnaruwa, which was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka. You will be cycling about 10km on soft surfaces for around 10 miles today as you go between the ruins.
11:30 - Drop-off at hotel and arrive at your hotel approximately at 13:00.
