As you explore these streets, you will come across the Old Dutch Museum, hidden amongst the bustling streets. Here, you can admire the immaculate architecture of the mansion, which was constructed in the late 17th century and once served as the residence of Count August Carl Van Ranzow.

Moving on, you will head to the commercial hub of Colombo, Fort, where you will find another colonial treasure - the Old Dutch Hospital. Once a fully functioning hospital during the 17th century, the complex now houses high-end restaurants, bars, and shops. Your guide will pause here for a drink with you, allowing you to take in the sights and sounds of the location. However, be warned, if your guide spots a potential for a stunning sunset, you may have to rush through your drinks to reach the lighthouse in time.

The tour will conclude at the historic Galle Face hotel, which is the oldest hotel in the East of the Suez. To reach this destination, you will take a leisurely half-kilometer walk along the Galle Face Green promenade. This area is usually bustling with people of all ages.

Since its inception, the organization has successfully released approximately 3.5 million baby turtles into the sea.

To ensure the eggs are protected, the hatchery pays local fishermen for eggs that they collect at night along the beach. Once collected, the eggs are buried in the sand and left to hatch for around 50 days. The baby turtles are then released into the sea at night. The turtle hatchery also has tanks that house injured or disabled turtles, including albino turtles that would not survive in the sea.
