Day 02 - Negombo | Sigiriya

After breakfast proceeds to Sigiriya and checks in to the hotel.

With its pristine stretches of sandy shores and lagoons, it's no surprise that it's also famous for fresh catches of lobster, jumbo prawns, and crabs.

If you're looking for thrilling water sports, why not try kitesurfing or jet skiing? Negombo also offers great entertainment options, including bars, discos, and clubs for a fun night out on the town.

Day 03 - Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa

After breakfast proceeds to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sigiriya Rock Fortress Sigiriya Rock Fortress, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD), is an architectural masterpiece that you don't want to miss. Rising 200 meters from the jungle, the 'Lion Rock' is a stunning citadel with a 70-hectare fortified town surrounding it. At the base of the rock, there is a moat, rampart, and beautiful water gardens.

Don't forget to take a closer look at the iconic frescos of the cloud maidens of Sigiriya, painted by skilled artisans in a sheltered pocket on the rock. You can reach this pocket by climbing a spiral stairway, making it a unique experience you'll never forget.

Thereafter proceed to Polonnaruwa Discover the Ancient Capital of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka Polonnaruwa, the second capital of Sri Lanka, was at its peak during the 11th and 12th century AD. As another UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors can explore the ruins of the Royal Palace and the ancient Gal Viharaya temple and much more!

Day 04 - Sigiriya | Trincomalee

Day 05 - Trincomalee

Day 07 - Kandy | Pinnawala | Kandy

After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage:

From Tourism to Conservation In 1975, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage began with seven elephants that had lost their mothers. Today, some of those same orphans have had the joy of witnessing their grandchildren's birth in the same location. While the orphanage was initially established as a tourist attraction, it soon evolved into a conservation and educational center. With the help of local and foreign experts, Pinnawala implemented a scientific breeding program for their elephants. Elephants had the freedom to move around with the herd, which increased the likelihood of mating between males and females.

The nearby river played a vital role in this regard, and in 1984, Pinnawala celebrated the birth of their first baby elephant. Pinnawala's Success Story Attracts Global Scientific Interest The triumph of Pinnawala has captured the interest of scientists worldwide, resulting in numerous books and research articles published in various languages. Professional photographers, videographers, and filmmakers have documented the members of the Pinnawala herd on thousands of occasions.

Thereafter return to Amaya Hills and in the evening do a Kandy city tour Exploring the Vibrant Culture and History of Kandy, Sri Lanka Kandy, the final fortress of the Sri Lankan monarchs, is a World Heritage Site that boasts a rich history and tradition. Take a ride around the Kandy lake, constructed by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, in 1798.

Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, where you can check out the arts and crafts center, gem museum, and lapidary. Don't forget to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy and then witness an incredible cultural show.

Day 08 - Kandy | Peradeniya | Tea Plantation | Nuwara Eliya

Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya via a tea plantation. Experience the tea journey by taking a tour of the tea estate. Stroll through the lush tea slopes and witness the delicate bud plucking process. Then, take a tour of the factory and discover the manufacturing, grading, and packaging of the world's finest tea. Finish off the day by indulging in a cup of fragrant pure Ceylon tea.

The Indian Ocean and the Bay of Bengal are home to 26 of the 80 known and identified species of cetaceans in the world.

Dolphin and whale watching can be done in Mirissa during the periods of November to April

 Day 12 - Galle | Kosgoda | Airport

After breakfast proceeds to the airport via Kosgoda.

Explore the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda Looking for a unique experience on your trip to Sri Lanka? Consider visiting the Turtle Hatchery operated by the Wild Life Protection Society. The hatchery offers protection to several turtle species, including the endangered hawksbill. Eggs are particularly vulnerable when left uncovered on beaches along the coast.

Fortunately, the goodwill of the local fishermen in Kosgoda has enabled the successful release of over 100,000 young turtles since the hatchery's opening just two years ago.
